Ride was composed and threw no surprises. Steering was light.
BHPian carhead recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
Took Test Drive of New Dzire both AGS & Manual ZXI+ models in NCR today.
AGS:
- Head nod is reduced but still pronounced compared to a true TC/CVT Auto.
- 3 cylinder refinement too is improved but nowhere close to the 4 pot engines of Aura, Amaze or even the outgoing Dzire engine.
Manual:
- Low-speed tractability at high gears is excellent. Gear stick slots in easily.
- Clutch positioning & play was excellent.
Common Points:
- Visibility is good. Bonnet-edge is not as clearly visible as the Amaze (ala Mustang).
- Sound Insulation (note not NVH) is good. Typical traffic-noise / chaos is relatively well cut off.
- Rear seat under thigh support was mediocre- found this better in the Amaze.
- Ride was composed and threw no surprises. Steering was light.
- Seats soil easily- due to the light colour. A leatherette seat cover is mandatory.
Excellent package for a million big ones (top model auto). Far superior to an CSUV of similar price except the visibility & ground clearance.
To conclude, while I would still recommend the Honda Amaze if one can stretch budget by 10% else the Dzire is a great deal.
Well done Maruti!
