DIY: Changed the interior lights of my Honda City to LEDs

For LEDs polarities matter, so make sure you test it before closing the cover.

Bought three pairs of T10s to replace rear ceiling light (1 bulb), map lights (2 bulbs), boot light (1) and number plate lights (2).

This is not a recommendation or an ad for this product. I’m just posting what I did. Please do your own analysis.

Current Map light setup have 8W Halogens inside (it says Kelly - I don’t know which brand this is). Take a flat screw driver and place a cloth over it.

Pry open the cover by placing the screw driver on the opposite area (flat side) and gently open. Push the bulb downward. Do not twist and turn. These bulbs are hot after use, so keep that in mind.

Push the LEDs inside. For LEDs polarities matter, so make sure you test it before closing the cover.
