Datsun reveals concept car sketch

Nissan’s budget brand, Datsun, has released a sketch of a concept car, which it plans to debut at the 2014 Auto Expo.

The picture shows a hatchback, which the company is aiming at young buyers in high-growth markets. While there is no information available, this car is likely to be the entry-level offering that Datsun plans to pit against the Maruti Suzuki Alto. Codenamed I2, the car is expected to be priced between Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh. The company aims to sell 8,000-9,000 units of the car per months.

The I2 is expected to hit our roads in 2015-16.
