Customer buys Activa 125 BS-VI and pays with coins

According to a media report, Rakesh Gupta from the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh purchased a new Honda Activa 125 BS-VI on the occasion of Diwali but decided to pay for the same only in coins.

The on-road price of the scooter is said to be around Rs. 83,000. Denominations of Rs. 5 and 10 were used and it is reported that the dealership took 3 hours to count the change.

The Activa 125 is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder engine with fuel-injection. It produces 8.18 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 10.3 Nm @ 5,000 rpm. The scooter comes equipped with a 190 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum at the rear. It is the company's first BS-VI compliant scooter.
