BMW launches X3 facelift in India at Rs. 44.90 lakh

German luxury carmaker, BMW has launched the X3 facelift in India. The SUV is available in two trim levels - X3 xDrive 20d Expedition and X3 xDrive 20d xLine, which are priced at Rs. 44.90 lakh and Rs. 49.90 lakh (ex-showroom, all India) respectively.

The X3 facelift is available eight body colours - Alpine White (non-metallic), Black Sapphire, Deep Sea Blue, Glacier Silver, Sparkling Brown, Space Grey, Mineral Silver and Melbourne Red (all metallic). The car features cosmetic changes, which are in line with the new X5 that was launched earlier this year. There is a bolder kidney grill, redesigned head lamps, new LED tail lamps, restyled front and rear bumpers and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. The design of the alloy wheel design has been changed as well.

The interiors of the X3 feature new leather upholstery, high-gloss black-panel centre console and wood panelling. Equipment includes the latest generation BMW iDrive (the on-board Driver Information System), with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, Park Distance Control (PDC), panorama sunroof and electrically operable tail gate.

The X3 is loaded with safety feature such as air bags, BMW restraint system, passenger cell system with defined deformation zones, impact absorbing front and rear bumpers and Run-Flat tyres.

Powering the X3 is a 1995 cc, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that puts out 188 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque @ 1750-2500 rom. The SUV comes with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. BMW claims that the X3 can do a 0-100 kph sprint in 8.1 seconds and achieve a top speed of 210 kph.
