BMW has announced that the iX1 electric SUV will be launched in India on September 28, 2023.
The BMW iX1 is an all-electric version of the third-generation X1. It looks identical to the ICE version, albeit with minor tweaks. The SUV has a blanked-off front fascia in BMW's typical twin-kidney design and redesigned LED headlamps. It also gets new alloy wheels and a reworked rear end.
The iX1 uses a dual-motor setup with a combined output of 313 BHP and 494 Nm. It is powered by a 64.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is said to offer a range of 438 km on a single charge. The iX1 comes with an 11 kW charger. It is also capable of fast charging with a capacity of up to 130 kW.
Reports suggest that BMW could offer the iX1 in the xDrive30 variant. It could be priced around Rs. 60-65 lakh (ex-showroom).
