The first images of the updated BMW 5 Series have surfaced online.
The images suggest that new 5 Series will get subtle cosmetic changes including new headlamp and tail lamp clusters.
The car seen in these images is believed to be the plug-in hybrid version with the M Sport Package. It has a different front bumper that has larger air vents and a trapezoidal air dam. The twin-kidney grille has a chrome frame and is flanked by slimmer LED headlights that have L-shaped LED daytime running lights. The car is riding on dual-tone alloy wheels.
At the rear, the new 5 Series gets revised tail lamps and a dual-tone bumper with twin exhaust tips. Also note the charging port positioned on the front fender.
The BMW 530e plug-in hybrid is powered by a 4-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor that deliver 249 BHP and 420 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
