Bangalore: Uber introduces uberMOTO bike taxi service

Uber and Ola have been going head to head in the Indian market to compete for market share in the radio taxi space. Now, both companies have introduced a bike taxi facility in Bangalore, almost simultaneously.

Uber's bike taxi service called uberMOTO, can be used by commuters in the same manner as the current taxi hailing app. It will disclose the driver details - name, photo, vehicle details; offer GPS tracking, as well as a cash payment option in addition to the cashless option. All commuters will have to wear a helmet (and strap it too), provided by the Uber riders.

The bike taxi service is available between 7 am and 9 pm in select areas of Bangalore with a base fare of Rs. 15 + Rs. 3 per km and Re. 1 per minute.
