Bajaj starts production of CS400 concept-based bike

Bajaj Auto has started production of its most powerful bike yet, which is essentially a production model based on the CS400 concept that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. The bike's name hasn’t been revealed yet, while speculations have already pointed towards probable names like VS 400, Kratos and Dominar. However, Bajaj has confirmed that the bike will be launching in mid-December 2016.

Interestingly, this bike is being assembled at an all-women assembly line in Bajaj Auto's plant at Chakan, near Pune, Maharashtra. This assembly line is part of Bajaj's aim to promote gender diversity in its facilities.

The bike in question is expected to be powered by a 373 cc engine, similar to the one offered with the KTM Duke 390, which will likely feature Bajaj's patented triple-spark technology. This engine is expected to be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
