Audi Q3 facelift revealed; deliveries from February 2015

German luxury carmaker Audi has revealed the 2015 Q3 facelift. The smallest SUV from the company gets some cosmetic as well as technical changes and some additional features.

Changes to the front of the car include a new sharper Singleframe grille, restyled headlamps with xenon plus technology and daytime running lights and a tweaked bumper with a wider air dam and reworked fog lamp housings. At the rear there are new LED tail lights and a restyled bumper. The design of the car's alloy wheels has also changed. Audi is also offering dynamic turn signal integrated into the headlamps as well. These turn signals illuminate sequentially within two-tenths of a second from the inside out in the direction the driver intends to turn.

Coming to the interiors, Audi is offering a host of features such as LED interior lighting package, power-adjustable front seats, infotainment system with MMI navigation plus, Audi connect including car phone, through which passengers connect  to the Internet using WiFi and the driver can use services such as web radio Audi music stream, online traffic information, and navigation with Google Earth and Google Street View.

The Q3 facelift comes with a host of assistance systems. Audi side assist features a yellow LED indicator illuminates in the housing of the outside mirror if another vehicle is in the blind spot or is approaching rapidly from the rear. Audi active lane assist works with video cameras that detect lane markings and gently intervenes in the steering to help the driver return to the lane if he or she comes too close to a line without indicating. The camera-based traffic sign recognition system shows speed limit signs and no passing signs as graphics in the driver information system display.

The TSI and TDI engines of the Q3 facelift get higher power outputs. They now produce between 118 bhp and 217 bhp. The Rs Q3 features a 2.5-litre unit with 335 bhp on tap. Audi claims the fuel efficiency of it engines has been improved by 17%.

The Audi Q3 facelift will go on sale in February 2015.
