Audi launches new Q7 in India at Rs. 72 lakh

Audi has launched the new Q7 in India at prices starting from Rs. 72 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi and Mumbai).

The new Q7 is up to 325 kg lighter than its predecessor. It has a singleframe grille, Matrix LED headlights with double arrow graphics, prominent wheel arches, a prominent shoulder line, redesigned tail lamps and a tailgate extending around the D-pillars.

On the inside the new Q7 gets leather upholstery, a four-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls and shift paddles, panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control system with the temperature display integrated in the rotary control, Bose 3D surround sound system with 19 speakers , MMI Navigation Plus, Audi Virtual Cockpit and an electrically foldable third row of seats. The car's second row of seats can also be folded in a ratio of 35:30:35. With the seats folded, the luggage space can be increased to 1,955 litres.

The Q7 comes with Audi Drive Select, which allows the driver to choose from various settings for the steering, engine management, transmission and adaptive suspension. In the lift mode, the Q7 displays the tilt angle of the car. Safety features include eight airbags, ABS, tyre pressure monitoring and electronic stability control among others. The car is also equipped with assistance systems like the auto park assist and 360 degree surround camera.

The new Q7 is available with a 45 TDI engine. This 3.0-litre, V6 diesel engine develops 245 BHP @ 2,910-4,500 rpm and 600 Nm of torque @ 1,500-3,000 rpm. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Audi claims that the Q7 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 7.1 seconds and attain a top speed of 234 kph. The company also claims that the car is more fuel-efficient than its predecessor.
