The SXR 160 will be powered by a 160cc engine producing 10.7 BHP.

Piaggio will soon commence the production of the Aprilia SXR 160 at its Baramati plant. The bike maker hasn't revealed the exact launch date yet but the new maxi-scooter will be launched in the Indian market in the near future.

The Aprilia SXR 160 was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. Later, in September this year, the bike maker released a teaser image, suggesting its imminent launch.

The SXR 160 features dual headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. It has a short windscreen and comes with a digital instrument cluster offering Bluetooth connectivity. It gets a raised handlebar with feather touch switches.

The SXR 160 will be powered by a BS6-compliant 160cc, single-cylinder, 3-valve engine. The same engine powers the SR 160. It produces 10.7 BHP @ 7,600 rpm and 11.6 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The scooter comes equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and has adjustable rear suspension.

The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels. It comes equipped with a front disc brake and has ABS.
