Aprilia RS 457 could be priced under Rs 4 lakh in India

The Aprilia RS 457 is a fully-faired bike that draws inspiration from the RS 660.

Aprilia is gearing up to introduce the RS 457 sports bike in the Indian market. The bike maker has started accepting pre-bookings but is yet to announce the prices.

Diego Arioli, Head of Product Marketing, Motorcycles, Piaggio Group, recently revealed that the RS 457 could be priced between Rs 3.75 lakh and Rs 4 lakh in India.

While speaking on the sidelines of EICMA 2023, Arioli said, “In my opinion, India is a market with a class of customers looking for what’s the next chapter. Seeing what’s currently on offer with affordable fully faired bikes, I noticed the proposition is all about single-cylinder bikes. In my opinion, the next big story could be moving to the twin and that’s why we wanted to launch the bike in India.”

The Aprilia RS 457 is a fully-faired bike that draws inspiration from the RS 660. It is powered by a 457cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 47 BHP and is mated with a 6-speed gearbox.

The RS 457 features an upside-down front fork with a mono-shock at the rear. It gets disc brakes at both ends and rides on 17-inch wheels.
