AJP wants to bring Shelby to India

According to a media report, Pune-based AJP Group is planning to bring Shelby to India. The cars are expected to be assembled at AJ Performance Studio in partnership with Shelby India. The first model is expected to roll out in the second half of 2019.

Shelby offers high-performance cars based on the Mustang. Some of the cars in its line up include the Shelby GT, Shelby Super Snake and Shelby 1000. The cars come with sporty body kits with a redesigned grille among other modifications. The Shelby GT is powered by 473 BHP V8 engine that can be tuned to produce over 690 BHP. The Super Snake is powered by 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 that makes 789 BHP, while the Shelby 1000 is available with a 5.2-litre V8 equipped with a 4.5-litre Whipple supercharger.

Reports suggest that India is likely to get at least one of the Shelby cars. However, the exact model is not yet known.
