Skoda has postponed the India launch of the fourth generation Octavia due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The revised launch timeline is yet to be announced.
The new Octavia is based on the MQB EVO platform and has a slightly longer wheelbase compared to the outgoing model.
The car features a revised front fascia with redesigned LED headlamps and new LED tail lights. It also gets a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels.
The Octavia is likely to come with a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines. These include a 1.5-litre TSI unit paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-litre TSI unit which could be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
