Thanks to BHPian RavenAvi for bringing this to our attention.

The second-generation Honda Amaze was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo. Honda has now launched a standalone website for the Amaze, which is expected to be launched in FY2018-19.

The Amaze is based on an all-new platform. The exterior of the car has been completely redesigned and features a more upright front fascia. Styling cues like the thick chrome garnish in the front and angular headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs have been borrowed from the City. In the rear, the Amaze gets a restyled boot and tail lamp clusters.

The new interior design incorporates a redesigned dashboard with a centrally mounted touchscreen infotainment system. Higher variants of the Amaze are likely to be offered with features like automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry & go along with a multi-functional steering wheel.

Honda hasn't announced the engines that will be offered on the 2nd-gen Amaze however media reports suggest that the same set of engines from the current model are likely to be carried over. These include a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol which makes 87 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 109 Nm of torque @ 4,500 rpm paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) is offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 89 BHP and 110 Nm. The current-gen Amaze is also offered with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine which makes 99 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm and comes equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
