2023 Hyundai Verna facelift spied testing ahead of unveil

Hyundai is expected to globally unveil the refreshed Verna by late-2022 or early-2023.

Hyundai is working on an update for its mid-size sedan, the Verna, in global markets. The Hyundai Verna facelift (called Accent in certain markets) has been recently spotted undergoing winter testing. The test mule of the car can be seen covered in heavy camouflage, revealing little to no details of the sedan.

According to reports, the Verna facelift is expected to borrow design cues from its larger sibling, the Elantra. Although the test mule doesn't reveal much, the sedan does seem to feature a large grille, angular front bumper design, low headlights, upward sweeping beltline, a C-pillar similar to that of the Elantra and wrap-around LED tail-lights.

The Hyundai Verna/Accent could be powered by a set of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines with an optional mild-hybrid variant as well. Both engines are expected to be paired with an automatic transmission.

Hyundai is expected to globally unveil the refreshed Verna by late-2022 or early-2023.
