2022 Maruti Baleno India launch on February 23

The Baleno competes with the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and the Honda Jazz.

Maruti Suzuki will be announcing the prices for the new Baleno on February 23, 2022.

The new Baleno gets a slimmer radiator grille, flanked by redesigned headlamps with L-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear quarter panels now have more pronounced shoulder lines that blend into redesigned tail lamps. The rear quarter glasses have also been reshaped.

The 2022 Baleno gets a dual-tone interior. The redesigned dashboard houses a floating 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment head unit. The car has a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a conventional 2-dial instrument cluster. The centre console houses a new automatic climate control module. A rear AC vent has also been provided.

The 2022 Baleno will be offered with a heads-up display. The car also comes with 6 airbags, cruise control and an electronic stability program (ESP).

The Baleno will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system. This engine produces 89 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and will be offered with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.
