2022 Ducati Multistrada V2 globally unveiled

It has improved rider ergonomics and is 5 kg lighter when compared to the Ducati Multistrada 950.

The 2022 Ducati Multistrada V2 breaks cover for the international markets at the Ducati World Premiere 2022. It has two variants - Standard and S. The bike is slated to start arriving at dealerships globally from November 2021. Update regarding its availability in India is yet to be announced.

Ducati is offering both variants of the new Multistrada V2 in the classic ‘Ducati Red’ colour with black rims, whereas the new ‘Street Grey’ paint scheme with black frame and ‘GP Red’ rims has been created exclusively for the higher-spec ‘S’ trim. The bike also features new graphics for enhanced visual appeal.

Powering the new Multistrada V2 is a 937cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that features new connecting rods and is tuned to produce 113 BHP and 98 Nm. Ducati has also used a new 8-disc hydraulic clutch and an updated gearbox. The engine oil replacement interval is every 15,000 km, whereas the valve clearance has to be checked after 30,000 km.

Ducati has also worked to keep the weight of the new Multistrada V2 in check. The new bike is 5 kg lighter than the Multistrada 950. The Italian brand has also revised the ergonomics to make the motorcycle more comfortable and intuitive.

The 2022 Ducati Multistrada V2 also has a bunch of electronics. For instance, Ducati Traction Control, four riding modes, cornering ABS, Vehicle Hold Control is standard. Other features such as cruise control, bi-directional quickshifter, cornering lights, high-resolution 5-inch TFT display, Ducati’s Skyhook Suspension EVO semi-active suspension system, and more are available with the ‘S’ variant.
