2021 Volkswagen Tiguan launched at Rs. 31.99 lakh

The Tiguan is available in a single fully-loaded Elegance variant. Deliveries will begin in mid-January 2022.

Volkswagen has launched the 2021 Tiguan in India. The SUV is available in a single fully-loaded Elegance trim at a price of Rs. 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Based on the MQB platform, the 2021 Tiguan receives a few cosmetic updates, including a redesigned front fascia and bumper, L-shaped tail lights with the Tiguan lettering in the centre and newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Tiguan comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit, 3-zone automatic climate control which can be controlled using the touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and connected car features.

The Tiguan is available with a new 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine that puts out 187 BHP @ 4,200-6,000 rpm and 320 Nm @ 1,500-4,100 rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.

The Tiguan is offered in seven colour options - Nightshade Blue, Pure White, Oryx White, Deep Black, Dolphin Grey, Reflex Silver and Kings Red.

Deliveries of the new Tiguan will commence from mid-January 2022.
