Ducati has launched the 2021 Monster in India. The bike is available in two variants - Base and Monster Plus, priced at Rs. 10.99 lakh and Rs. 11.24 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
The Monster has received a major update for the 2021 model year. The bike is based on a new aluminium chassis and features a glass fibre reinforced polymer sub-frame. This has resulted in a weight saving of 18 kg over the previous model.
The 2021 Monster is powered by a 937cc L-twin Testastretta engine producing 110 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 93 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard.
The bike comes equipped with 43 mm USD forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock setup at the rear. Braking setup consists of twin 320 mm discs at the front and a single 245 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres with 120/70 and 180/55 profiles at the front and rear, respectively.
In terms of features, the 2021 Ducati Monster features a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, LED lighting all around, three riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire and many others.
