2017 Triumph Street Triple to globally launch on January 10

Triumph Motorcycles will be globally launching the 2017 Street Triple on January 10, 2017. The British motorcycle manufacturer has revealed this launch date through a teaser video. The bike will be launched simultaneously in London and Miami.

The 2017 Street Triple is expected to be powered by a 765 cc engine, and will be equipped with features like ride by wire, slipper clutch, traction control and a full TFT instrument cluster. The new engine will likely be EuroIV compliant. The bike is expected to be built on an updated chassis, with a new swingarm.

Media reports suggest that the new Street Triple will be introduced in four variants, with the top-spec RT and RS trims getting Brembo brakes and Ohlins suspension, and putting out around 125 BHP. On the other hand, the base trim is expected to develop around 110 BHP, while the mid-spec R variant will get Showa suspension and Nissin brakes and will have a power output of around 115 BHP.

Triumph has been an aggressive player in the Indian market, and thus might launch the updated Street Triple here later next year.
