Skoda will launch the 2017 Octavia facelift in India on July 13. This will mark a mid-life update to the third-gen Octavia, which was launched in the country in 2013.
With the 2017 facelift, the Octavia gets a new front fascia, characterised by an all-LED quad-headlamp setup, a taller grille with piano black finish and a tweaked front bumper with a wider air dam and sleeker fog lamps. The side remains identical to the pre-facelift model, save for a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear will get new LED tail lights and a mildly tweaked bumper.
On the inside, the Octavia facelift features a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. The car also gets ambient lighting with 10 colour options, driver fatigue alert, hands free parking and a coloured MID screen in the instrument cluster.
No mechanical changes have been made to the Octavia. It will continue to be offered with three powertrain options - a 1.4-litre TSI petrol with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 1.8-litre TSI petrol with a 7-speed DSG and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel with a 6-speed DSG.
