2017 Nissan GT-R launched in India at Rs. 1.99 Crore

Nissan has launched the 2017 GT-R in India at a price of Rs. 1.99 Crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It is Nissan's halo product in the country and will be brought in through the CBU route. For now, the GT-R will be sold exclusively through the Nissan dealership in Noida which will also house India's first Nissan High Performance Centre. This centre will be responsible for the servicing the car.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R made its global debut at this year's New York Motor Show. With this facelift, the car has got a sharper front fascia, thanks to a wider front grille and air dam and new headlamp assemblies. The rear features a new bumper with a large diffuser and a more prominent spoiler mounted on the boot lid.

In India, the Nissan GT-R is available in the European spec Premium Edition. It is being offered in seven colour options - Katsura Orange, Vibrant Red, Pearl Black, Storm White, Daytona Blue, Gun Metallic and Ultimate Silver. The choice of interior trim includes red, tan, ivory and black.

Features on offer include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is fully customizable and also shows some parameters including the g-force being experienced by the driver during high-speed cornering. Entertainment duties are handled by a Bose sound system with 11 speakers.

The new GT-R is powered by the 3.8-litre, twin-turbo, V6 petrol engine, which is the same unit as the earlier model. However, Nissan claims to have tweaked it to develop more power and torque. It now produces 562 BHP and 637 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission that transmits power to all four wheels.
