2017 KTM 250 Duke spotted in India

KTM recently announced that the 2017 Duke range will be launched in India on February 23, 2017. Ahead of this scheduled launch, the 2017 250 Duke has been spotted in the country without any camouflage. This has raised speculations about KTM launching the new 250 Duke in India, along with its 200 and 390 siblings.

It must be noted that KTM manufactures the 250 Duke in India for export markets. However, the spotted model is claimed to be an India-spec unit, as it comes with some India-specific elements like the saree guard and MRF Revz tyres. Interestingly, the spotted model is reportedly missing ABS and features an instrument cluster that is borrowed from the outgoing 390 Duke, rather than the new TFT screen that is found on the updated model.

Internationally, the 250 Duke is powered by a 248.8 cc, single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that churns out 30 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of torque @ 7,250 rpm. If launched in India, the bike is expected to remain mechanically unchanged.
