We had recently reported about the addition of a touchscreen infotainment system in the top-end variants of the Ford EcoSport. The updated model has now been spotted at a dealer stockyard in Coimbatore. Ford is expected to officially announce the new feature additions to the 2017 models sometime next month.
Major changes visible on the spotted model include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels and a blacked out roof. The larger alloys are wrapped in 205/50 section Apollo tyres. The touchscreen system also supports DVD (video) playback and rear view camera. These features will be seen only on the top-of-the-line Titanium+ trim level.
The 2017 model gains the aforementioned features, but it also loses some others. Ford has removed features like lumbar support, cooled glove box, non-LED DRLs and front armrest from the entire EcoSport range.
With the 2017 model year, Ford will also be increasing prices of the EcoSport Titanium + variants by Rs. 20,000. The updated prices will be:
• 1.5D Titanium+ : Rs. 10,19,000
• 1.0P Titanium+ : Rs. 9,89,000
(All Prices are Ex-showroom, Delhi)
