2017 Audi A5 Sportback spied testing in Mumbai

A test mule of the Audi A5 Sportback has been spied without camouflage on the streets of Navi Mumbai. According to media reports, the car will be launched after the A5 coupe, which is scheduled to be launched in Europe on June 2, 2016.

Audi has not revealed any plans to launch the A5 Sportback in India. The company had earlier stated that they test the cars in India to collect data under different conditions.

The car comes with matrix LED headlamps and LED taillights which are very similar to the ones on the Audi A4. On the inside, the car is expected to be similar to the A5. It is likely to get the Audi virtual cockpit with a 12.3-inch LCD display, MMI infotainment system and a Bang & Olufsen sound system among other features.

Records show that Audi had imported an A5 Sportback into India in April 2016. The car is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 187 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. The car also gets an all-wheel drive system configuration.
