2014 Toyota Corolla variants and features leaked

Toyota took the wraps off the 2014 Corolla Altis at the 12th Auto Expo, which was held in February this year. The company is expected to launch the car in in May.

Motoring website, Carsizzler has managed to procure a brochure giving details of the different variants of the 2014 Corolla Altis and the features that will be incorporated into them.

The car will be available with a choice of two engines - one petrol and one diesel.  The petrol engine is a 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder, dual VVT-i unit that makes 140 PS, while the diesel is a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder, D-4D motor that makes 88.4 PS. The petrol variant is available with 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic gearbox, while the diesel gets only a 6-speed manual transmission.

According to the brochure, the petrol Corolla will be available in five trim levels - J, G, G CVT, GL and VL. Features like rear reclining seats, brake assist, rear power socket and rear fog lamp are available across all variants. Higher variants get features like jack-knife key, LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with integrated navigation, reversing camera with display, rear reading lamp and illuminated cup holders.
