2014 Ford Figo with in-built WiFi introduced

Ford India has displayed and launched an updated version of the ageing Figo hatchback at the 12th Auto Expo.

There is no change to the exterior of the car. However, now its buyers can opt for a new 'Mars Red' colour, which has been adopted from the EcoSport.

The list of equipment is where the difference between the old and new Figo lies. There is an option pack worth Rs. 10,000 available, which includes a WiFi dongle that works in any variant of the Figo equipped with a factory-fitted audio system. An additional SIM card will have to be purchased to get the system to work. All five occupants of the car will be able to access the WiFi service. The option pack also includes seat covers and blue LED cabin lights. Ford has also equipped the ZXi variant with a driver side airbag and the EXi with a stereo.

The Figo continues to use the 1.2-litre, 70 bhp petrol and 1.4-litre, 68 bhp diesel engines that have been powering it since the time of its launch.

Ford has raised the price of all the variants of the Figo by Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 20,000.
