In August 2019, Kia forayed into the Indian market with the Seltos. More than a year later, the carmaker has sold 1.25 lakh units of the SUVs.
The Seltos received its first update in June this year. Kia made some minor changes to the exterior and rejigged the variant line-up. It is available in a wide range of variants that are broadly divided into the Tech Line and the GT Line trims.
The Seltos is offered with three engine options. These include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 113 BHP and 144 Nm of torque paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT, a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 138 BHP and 242 Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit that makes 113 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, which is available with a choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
