VW Polo & Vento to lose 1.2 TSI & 7-speed DSG

According to a media report, the VW Polo and Vento will no longer be offered with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission option.

The report also states that the Polo and Vento 1.2 TSI will be phased out. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine will be replaced with a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit. This 3-cylinder direct-injection motor is said to produce 113 BHP and 200 Nm. It will be offered with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Volkswagen cars will not get the 1.5L diesel engine option in the BS6 era.
