The Volkswagen Taigun has been listed on the brand's official Indian website.
The Taigun crossover was the first product to be unveiled as part of the India 2.0 project. It is based on the MQB A0 IN platform.
In terms of design, the Taigun has typical VW front fascia with clean lines. It looks like a compact version of the Tiguan from the front. However, it has a unique rear design with tail lamps that have a smoked effect and a light bar that stretches across the width of the car.
In India, the Taigun is expected to be offered with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. It could be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The VW Taigun could be launched sometime next year. Customers can register their interest on this website.
