Volkswagen Taigun caught testing in India

Just like the Kushaq, the Taigun too could come with two turbo-petrol engine options.

The Volkswagen Taigun has been caught testing in India for the first time.

The Taigun was unveiled in concept form at the 2020 Auto Expo. The crossover is based on the heavily localized MQB A0 IN platform, which will be shared with the Skoda Kushaq.

In terms of its styling, the production-spec Taigun is expected to borrow design cues from the concept car. On the inside, the crossover will be equipped with most of the latest gadgets including a touchscreen infotainment head-unit, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control among others.

Just like the Kushaq, the Taigun too could come with two turbo-petrol engine options. These include 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engines. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG.
