Volkswagen appears to be testing yet another variant of the Polo. A test mule with '180 TSI' branding on the tailgate has recently been spotted, pointing towards a new petrol engine making its way into the hatchback.
The car is claimed to be powered by a 1.4-litre TSi engine, which churns out around 148 BHP and 250 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG might be the transmission options available.
The car spotted doesn't appear to have any changes to its exterior. However, Volkswagen might offer a new set of alloy wheels or a few other enhancements to make the Polo 180 TSi stand out from other variants.
If Volkswagen does launch the Polo 180 TSI in India, it will be positioned between the GT TSi and the recently launched GTi.
