According to a media report, Toyota's version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza could be called Urban Cruiser. The name is believed to be derived from the famous Land Cruiser.
The Urban Cruiser is nothing but a Toyota-badged Vitara Brezza. It will be the second badge-engineered model in Toyota's India portfolio. The SUV could receive minor cosmetic changes to differentiate it from Maruti's version of the sub-4 meter SUV.
The Urban Cruiser could get the same BS6-compliant 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is offered in the Vitara Brezza. This engine produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm. Toyota might also retain the same transmissions, which include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
