Ultraviolette has launched an electric enduro bike called the Shockwave. It is priced at Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will be offered at a special price of Rs 1.50 lakh to the first 1,000 customers.
The Shockwave has a typical off-road enduro design with minimal bodywork and a raised front fender. It is based on a lightweight platform and can be ridden on public roads as well.
Powering the Shockwave is a 14.5 BHP electric motor, which has a peak torque output of 505 Nm. It can sprint from 0-60 km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 120 km/h. The 4 kWh battery pack gives it a range of 165 km on a single charge.
The Shockwave is equipped with a telescopic front fork and a monoshock at the rear. It has disc brakes at both ends and comes with switchable dual-channel ABS and dynamic regeneration with 6 settings. The bike rides on wire-spoke wheels with a 19-inch rim in the front and 17-inch in the rear.
