TVS Jupiter 125 launched with prices starting at Rs 73,400

It is available in 3 variants and locks horns with the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, and the likes.

TVS has launched the Jupiter 125. The new scooter is available in 3 variants - drum brake with steel wheels, drum brake with alloy wheels and disc brake (front) with alloy wheels. The starting price of the TVS Jupiter 125 is Rs. 73,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The TVS Jupiter 125 features a full-LED headlamp, signature LED guidelights, a stylish taillamp and a pillion grabrail reflector. The new scooter also has a semi-digital instrument cluster that shows information such as the average fuel consumption, real-time fuel consumption, clock and more.

TVS has placed the 5-litre fuel tank of the Jupiter 125 in the floorboard which has allowed the company to provide a segment-leading under-seat storage capacity of 32-litre that is expected to accommodate two helmets. Other convenient features include a front external fuel filler cap, front glove box, and USB charger.

Powering the TVS Jupiter 125 is a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve engine that makes 8.3 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 10.5 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. The suspension setup includes telescopic front forks and a segment-first, gas-charged mono-shock at the rear. For the brakes, there is a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum brake. It is to be noted that the aforementioned features could vary depending on the variant.

The TVS Jupiter 125 will lock horns with the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, and Yamaha Fascino 125.
