TVS Apache RTR 200 4V launched at Rs. 88,990

TVS has launched the Apache RTR 200 4V motorcycle in India. Prices for the bike start at Rs. 88,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Apache RTR 200 4V is a naked motorcycle with street-fighter styling. It has a double cradle frame with a telescopic fork suspension setup at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike measures 2,050 mm in length, 790 mm in width and 1,105 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,353 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm, with a saddle height of 800 mm. The bike weighs 148 kg and has a 12-litre fuel tank.

Powering the RTR 200 4V is a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, carburetted, 4-stroke petrol engine. The powerplant has an oil-cooler with ram air assist and develops 20.2 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 18.1 Nm of torque @ 7,000 rpm. A fuel-injected version with 20.7 BHP on tap is also available. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a 5-speed gearbox. While the carburetted version has a claimed 0-60 kph time of 3.95 seconds and a top speed of 128 kph, the fuel-injected version manages the 0-60 kph sprint in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 129 kph.

The Apache RTR 200 4V has single 270 mm and 240 mm petal disc brakes at the front and rear respectively. ABS will be added as an option on both variants of the RTR 200 4V in the future. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with a 90/90 section tyre at the front and a 130/70 section tyre at the rear.

Other features include a digital instrument cluster, an LED tail lamp, LED day-time running lights, split seats and a double barrel exhaust.

The Apache RTR 200 4V is available in seven colours – matte red, matte yellow, white, matte white, matte grey, matte black and black.
