Toyota Yaris (Vios) facelift unveiled

Toyota has given the Yaris, also known as the Vios in Southeast Asian markets, a makeover. The Yaris facelift has been unveiled in the Philippines.

The updated Yaris gets a redesigned front fascia featuring a new grille and reworked headlamp clusters. The new front bumper features redesigned fog lamp pods. On the inside, the car gets an updated touchscreen infotainment head-unit that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with other features like automatic climate control with roof-mounted AC vents, cruise control and a sunroof.

In Southeast Asian markets, the Yaris is offered with two petrol engine options. These include a 1.3-litre unit producing 97 BHP and 123 Nm, which is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.5-litre engine that makes 105 BHP and 140 Nm and comes with either a 5-speed manual or 7-speed CVT.

In India, the Yaris is offered with the 1.5-litre petrol engine which is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT with paddle shifters.
