Toyota Urban Cruiser leaked ahead of launch

The first image of the Toyota Urban Cruiser has leaked online.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a re-badged version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza. Toyota has swapped the grille for a new twin-slat unit, while the twin-pod headlamps are the same as the Vitara Brezza. The front bumper is new though. The SUV also gets a dual-tone exterior and has new design dual-tone alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Urban Cruiser could get light coloured upholstery and will come with the same SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment head-unit as the Vitara Brezza.

The Urban Cruiser is likely to be powered by the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol mild-hybrid powertrain from the Vitara Brezza. This engine makes 104 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm @ 4,400 rpm and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Bookings for the Urban Cruiser will commence from August 22, 2020.
