Toyota has launched the Innova Crysta Touring Sport edition in India. It features some cosmetic alterations, while remaining mechanically unchanged. The Touring Sport variant has been launched to mark the first anniversary of the new-gen Innova Crysta in the Indian market.
On the outside, the Innova Crysta Touring Sport comes with a new front grille finished in gloss black, along with some smoked chrome inserts. A thick black body cladding runs throughout the lower body panels of the MPV. This cladding also features some chrome detailing on the front and rear bumpers as well as the running board. The Touring Sport continues to be offered with 16-inch alloy wheels, though they have now been finished in matte black. At the rear, the strip between the taillights has also been given a black treatment. The Touring Sport edition will be offered in two colours - Wildfire (Red) and White Pearl Crystal Shine.
On the inside the instrument cluster gets red illumination, while a red wooden pattern trim runs across the width of the dashboard. The steering wheel, console box, gear lever and parking brake get contrasting red stitching, while black wood finish has been added on the rear door as well as the steering wheel. Features on offer are similar to that of the regular ZX trim, which include a touchscreen infotainment system, auto climate control, LED projector headlamps and cruise control. The Innova Crysta Touring Sport can only be opted in a 7-seat layout, i.e. the second row gets captain seats.
The special edition is available with three engine options - a 2.7-litre petrol (MT and AT), a 2.4-litre diesel (MT) and a 2.8-litre diesel (AT). Power and torque output figures are similar to that of the regular Innova Crysta range.
