Toyota Corolla Cross SUV spied

The Toyota Corolla Cross (codenamed: 740B) has been spied testing in Thailand.

It has been reported that the Corolla Cross will be based on the modular TNGA platform. The SUV is expected to be positioned between the Yaris Cross and the RAV4.

The test mule appears to have flared wheel arches and has a high ground clearance. It has a gently sloping roofline with a roof spoiler at the rear. The rear windshield is steeply raked and has a rear spoiler.

The Corolla Cross is likely to be offered with a 1.8-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre flex fuel engine. These are the same engines available in the Corolla sedan in the international markets.

The launch details of the Corolla Cross are not known, however the SUV is likely to be introduced in emerging markets in South East Asia as well as in Australia.
