Thailand: Honda Accord gets a facelift

The ninth-gen Honda Accord has been given a facelift in Thailand and this is likely to be the model that will be introduced in India later this year.

Dominating the front, is the signature chrome grille with the Honda logo and new LED headlamps & LED fog lamps. In addition, the car gets new front and rear bumpers and LED tail lamps.

On the inside, the Accord gets a new feature that allows the driver to switch on the engine & air-conditioning (from the outside) using the remote key of the vehicle. It also gets an 8-way electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, paddle shifters, cruise control, sunshade (rear side glass), electric rear window curtain, a 7.7-inch TFT display, touchscreen infotainment system (supports Apple Car Play and mirror link), WiFi hotspot, rear view camera and active noise cancellation.

The car measures 4,930 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,465 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. It is available with either a 2.0L (153 BHP / 190 Nm) or a 2.4L (172 BHP / 225 Nm) petrol engine. Both these units are mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Prices in Thailand range from 1.385 - 1.635 million Baht (Rs. 26.57 lakh - Rs. 31.37 lakh).
