Driving Experience: A Personal Perspective on Owning the Tata Tiago XZA O

  • Introduction: Choosing the Tiago XZA O

I recently found myself in the market for a new hatchback, specifically aiming for an automatic with all the latest features. After weighing options between EVs and ICE vehicles and considering my daily usage in Chandigarh, the Tata Tiago XZA O emerged as a compelling choice due to its affordability, features, and suitability for city driving.

  • Decision-Making Process
  1. Initially considering several models like the Toyota Glanza and Hyundai i20, I settled on the Tiago XZA O for its competitive pricing, comprehensive feature set, and immediate availability at the dealership.
  • Booking and Delivery Experience
  1. After a test drive at a Hyundai dealership, the adjacent Tata dealership offered an immediate solution with the Tiago XZA O, featuring new upgrades like cruise control and enhanced safety features. The booking process was smooth, and the car arrived promptly within 10 days, exceeding my expectations.
  • Initial Impressions and Driving Experience
  1. Having driven the car for about 700 kilometres, here are my initial observations:
  2. Performance: The Tiago XZA O offers a fun driving experience with satisfactory acceleration and smooth handling, especially in city traffic.
  3. Highway Driving: It comfortably maintains speeds up to 120 kmph with the cruise control engaged, although I prefer using it between 60 kmph and 100 kmph for safety reasons.
  4. Audio System: The 8-speaker setup provides excellent sound quality, although there are occasional quirks with the music system switching to AM mode instead of FM.
  5. Features: New additions like auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers work as advertised, enhancing convenience and safety.
  • Accessories and Additions
  1. The dealership included essential accessories like mud flaps, seat covers, and bumper guards. At the same time, additional items such as door skid plates and door visors were installed for enhanced utility and aesthetics. I'm searching for a rubber boot mat to manage dust in the boot area effectively.

Future Updates

Looking forward to sharing my experiences with the Tiago XZA O after the first service, where I hope to provide insights into its maintenance and long-term reliability.
