Tata Nexon EV teasers reveal new details

Tata Motors has kicked off its promotional campaign for the Nexon EV. The second video of '#TheUltimateElectricDrive' is out and it reveals a few details of the car.

The charging port of the test car used for the campaign is located behind the fuel lid. The car also appears to have a similar instrument cluster to the Harrier featuring a large digital display and an analogue speedometer. The Nexon EV is also expected to come with a smartphone app that would provide information like the battery status and range.

The Nexon EV is expected to use Tata's Ziptron technology. It is likely to be powered by liquid-cooled lithium-ion batteries. Both, the battery pack and electric motor are expected to come with an 8-year standard warranty.

The all-electric Nexon is scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year.
