The Tata Nexon EV has been spotted in Lavasa during an ad shoot. The electric SUV is expected to be launched later this month.
The Nexon EV will be available in three variants - XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX. The car is based on the updated Nexon and features twin-pod headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a new grille, redesigned bumper with blue inserts and fog lamps. The car rides on 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The cars used for the ad shoot appear to be finished in the new Signature Teal Blue colour.
The Nexon EV uses Tata's Ziptron EV technology. It comes with a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers an electric motor which has an output of 127 BHP and 245 Nm. The company claims that the car can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 9.9 seconds. The battery is claimed to offer a maximum range of 300 km on a single charge. It can be recharged to 80% of its capacity in 1 hour using a DC fast charger, while a standard AC charger takes 8-9 hours to recharge to 100%.
