Tata Nexon EV Max with 437 km range launched at Rs. 17.74 lakh

The Nexon EV Max competes with the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona Electric

Tata Motors has launched the long-range version of the Nexon EV, called the Nexon EV Max. It is available in two variants: XZ+ and XZ+ Lux, with prices starting at Rs 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Nexon EV Max uses a 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers an ARAI-certified range of 437 km on a single charge (under standard testing conditions). It powers a permanent magnet synchronous AC motor that has an output of 141 BHP and 250 Nm, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds.

The Nexon EV Max comes with either a 3.3 kW charger or a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. The latter can recharge the vehicle in 6.5 hours. The car can also be recharged from 0-80% in just 56 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger.

The Nexon EV Max comes with three drive modes: City, Sport and Eco. A new drive mode selector with an active mode display has been introduced on this model. The car also comes with leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, wireless charging, auto-dimming IRVM and cruise control. The ZConnect app offers 48 connected car features.

The Nexon EV Max comes with Multi-Mode Regen with 4 levels and auto brake lamps to alert other road users. Additionally, the EV gets ESP with i-VBAC (Intelligent-Vacuum-less Boost & Active Control), Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold and 4-disc brakes.

The IP67 rated lithium-ion battery pack and motor come with an 8 years / 1,60,000 km warranty.

Nexon EV Max colour options:

The car is available in a new Intensi-Teal colour - exclusive to the Nexon EV MAX. Other options include Daytona Grey and Pristine White. Dual-tone body colour is offered as a standard.
