Earlier this week, Tata Motors launched the GenX Nano in India. Apart from cosmetic changes, the car got an automated manual transmission, a bigger fuel tank and an openable hatch. Tata has also launched a host of accessories which will enable owners to customise their cars according to their taste.
The list of accessories for the exteriors includes a body kit, sunroof, spoiler, decals, alloy wheels and door visors. For the interiors, customers can purchase seat covers, cushions, an "infinity" motif carpet, a vacuum cleaner and an air freshener. A remote controlled hatch release and a navigation device are also available.
Tata Motors is trying to reposition the Nano as a smart city car. With the accessories, the company is trying to draw younger city dwellers to its showrooms.
