Tata Motors has launched the updated Harrier, which now comes with a BS6-compliant diesel engine and an automatic transmission.
The Harrier automatic is available in three variants - XMA, XZA and XZA+. These are priced at Rs. 16.25 lakh, Rs. 18.80 lakh and Rs. 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The XZA+ dual-tone costs Rs. 20.15 lakh and XZA+ Dark Edition is priced at Rs. 20.25 lakh.
In terms of features, the new Harrier comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, 6-way powered driver seat, auto-dimming IRVM and dual-tone 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It also gets 6 airbags, traction control, hill-start assist and hill descent control.
The Harrier is now powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 168 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The same engine is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
