Tata AutoComp enters a Joint Venture with Katcon Global

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited has entered into a 50:50 Joint Venture with Katcon Global, to design and deliver exhaust and emission treatment systems + emission treatment solutions to the Indian automotive industry. The range of exhaust solutions would cover all types of vehicles - passenger cars, utility vehicles, buses, farm tractors, off-road vehicles and medium and heavy commercial vehicles. The products to be offered will include catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters, selective catalytic reduction, mufflers and silencer modules.

A month ago Tata AutoComp Systems Limited had also entered into a Joint Venture with Magna International Inc. to provide seating systems for commercial vehicles in the India. Tata AutoComp provides product and services to the India and Global automotive OEMs as well as Tier 1 suppliers. It has 4 JVs with companies across the Global Auto Component Industry through which it manufactures and markets automotive components systems for heavy commercial vehicles. Tata AutoComp has 29 manufacturing facilities spread across India including one in China.

Katcon Global, headquartered in (Monterrey) Mexico, is a global exhaust and after treatment supplier. Its product portfolio includes solution for petrol and diesel engines; for light to heavy duty vehicles.
